2025 ID Drive

2025 ID Drive

As your councils plan their Faith in Action programs for the new Columbian Year please be sure to include the Annual Campaign for People With Intellectual Disabilities.  The official dates for the drive this year are October 17, 18 and 19, 2025 (although councils are free to schedule and hold a fundraiser benefiting organizations serving people with intellectual disabilities at any time during the year).  Be sure and bring this email up for discussion and action at future council officers’ and business meetings.  Please have your councils complete and return the attached Council Chairman Form or submit his contact information online by clicking hereStrive for 100% district and council participation!

I urge you to take a few moments to read through the attached guidebook describing the program, and take time to view an orientation video available by clicking here.   Please be aware that many of the reporting forms have changed this year including a new Form FNCF201 which is to be used for reporting council fundraising proceeds with a new address for sending them to the Foundation.  The same form is also to be used for specifying organizations in your local area serving people with intellectual disabilities who are to receive the funds.  Contributions from participating councils are no longer subject to a 7.5% indirect fee.  Further information and resources regarding the program may be obtained by clicking here.

For those Councils desiring to hold the traditional “Tootsie Roll Drive”, Tootsie Rolls with the Knights of Columbus emblem can be ordered directly from the Tootsie Roll Company using the form attached.  Tootsie Rolls can also be obtained by contacting Brother Robert Burnside at rjfb@pacbell.net or (209) 423-2764 (voice and text).

For those councils that don’t regularly participate in the program, or are perhaps doing the campaign for the first time, consider donating or raising additional funds for Special Olympics and the Feed the Athletes Program.Special Olympics is a Supreme Council Featured Program.  For further information, click here.

Many, many Knights of Columbus councils have and continue to support the Annual Campaign for People With Intellectual Disabilities, which has been in existence since 1987.  We are looking forward to making Columbian Year 2025-2026 the best year ever!  Please forward this email to the leadership of councils in your local area and those you feel would be most interested.

May God bless,

Dave Abbott, Past State Deputy
