Please keep in your prayers the following who are in need of the healing powers of Our Heavenly Father:

Sir Knight Manny Joia Jr. who is suffering from an eating disorder.  Brother Manny has been a Knight for 58 years, and is a Past Grand Knight of Father Oliver McGivern Council 10494 in Apple Valley and the current Honor Guard Commander for Monsignor William Van Garsse Assembly 2664.  Please pray for the entire Joia family and the council members and parishioners of Our Lady of the Desert in Apple Valley as they provide care and support.
Sir Knight and District Deputy 137 John Briones who recently started cancer treatments.  Brother John is a member of Saint John Paul II Council 16488 in Rancho Santa Margarita and Santiago De Compostela Assembly 2305 in Mission Viejo.  Please pray for the entire Briones family during this anxious time.

Please pray for the repose of the souls of the following:

Sir Knight Julio Deguzman Jr. who passed into eternal rest on October 17, 2025.  He was a member of Our Mother of Confidence Council 9776 in San Diego and a Past Faithful Navigator of Bishop Charles F. Buddy Assembly 2122.  According to Sir Knight David Curtis, the current Faithful Navigator of  Assembly 2122, “Brother Julio was a devoted member of our Order, a man of faith, service, and fraternity whose presence enriched our council and community.”  Please pray for his wife Lisa and the entire DeGuzman family as they mourn his loss.  For further information on his life and legacy click here.

Brother Patrick Daly who recently passed into eternal rest following a long illness. Brother Patrick was a member of Saint Mel Council 17376 in Woodland Hills. Please pray for the entire Daly family during this difficult time.

Sir Knight Joe Marquez Alvarado who passed into eternal rest on September 16, 2025, at 91 years of age. He was a Past Grand Knight and Honorary Life Member of Father Thomas B. Austin Council 4958 in San Diego and Bishop Charles F. Buddy Assembly 2122. According to Brother Memo Garcia, the Financial Secretary for Council 4958, “Joe was an outstanding Knight for 58 years. He served in the US Navy and retired as a Senior Chief after 30 years.” Please pray for his wife Naomi and the entire Alvarado family in their time of grief.

Our Sister in Christ Kathleen Kersus of Jefferson, Massachusetts, who passed into eternal rest on November 7, 2025. She was the wife of Brother Knight Gerry Kersus, who is the current Warden for Council 14298 in Jefferson. Brother Gerry is a longtime friend of District Deputy 90 and Past Los Padres Chapter President Mike LoCollo. Please pray for the entire Kersus family and those whose lives she touched as they mourn her passing.

May the Blessed Michael McGivney lead them into the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father while providing comfort and solace to their family and friends.
