The goal of the American Wheelchair Mission is to provide a free Wheelchair to anyone in the world who needs one but can not afford one, and has no way of obtaining one. There are over 130 million people worldwide that are in this situation. We need your help. I have always been able to count on the Northern California Chapter in the past. There are a few ways that you can help:
- You can hold a wheelchair Sunday parish drive, where the American Wheelchair Mission team comes to your parish and shows a short video then a brief message in how the parish can help, then collection after mass.
- “Texas style Wheelchair Sunday” 2 weekends no video first weekend, brief 2-to-3-minute message collection after mass, 2nd weekend basically at the general announcements say the knights are outside collecting for wheelchairs.
- Hold a fundraiser and donate proceeds to the American Wheelchair Mission.
- Allocate money in your budget for Wheelchairs.
- Do Nothing.
Brothers this is listed in order of most effective 1 being most effective to 4 being least. You can contact me with any questions so we can arrange what is best for you and your Parish. Let’s not choose option 5.
